Hope Gangloff is an American contemporary painter known for her vibrant portraits, detailed linework, and use of color. She currently lives and works in Brooklyn. Gangloff studied at The Cooper Union, where she earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. Her paintings often feature her friends, musicians, and scenes from everyday life, combining realism with stylized patterns and bold colors. This project has really been frustrating for me, but I also like it. It's a love-hate relationship, and I am looking forward to trying such paintings again in the future. I'm somewhat content with how my painting turned out, and I like the expression I ended up with. I could've worked on the composition more.

I've enjoyed seeing my underpainting come along! I'm used to using similar indirect painting techniques digitally, but I don't know how I like the process relatively to direct painting.

I'm struggling to develop a likeness to myself with my sculpture, but I'm proud of the sophistication of the features I've sculpted.

Trying the grid method has been interesting, and during this project, I've found my attention to the linework and detail of art has grown significantly.
